TikTok Launches TikTok Shop Mall To Feature Brand Flagship Stores, Authorised Online Retailers

E-commerce platform TikTok Shop has launched its very own TikTok Shop Mall, an exclusive channel that only features the flagship stores and authorised online retail outlets of specially invited brands. This comes as TikTok continues its effort to improve consumers’ shopping experience on its platform, as well as promote Malaysian brands.

According to TikTok, this new feature will provide Malaysian shoppers with access to a curated selection of over 600 local and international brands, with some notable ones being Mydin, Habib Jewels, Pandora, Skechers, and 70mai. Aside from the certainty of being able to receive certified authentic and original products from these sellers, TikTok said that customers will also be able to tap into reliable customer service and enjoy exclusive benefits, such as free shipping and a 15-day return policy.

To identify these TikTok Shop Mall sellers, simply keep an eye out for the special “Mall” tag that is positioned under their profile name when you visit their TikTok Shop, as you can see below:

TikTok Shop Malaysia acquisition and partnership lead, Nur Azre Abdul Aziz said that the launch of TikTok Shop Mall in Malaysia is meant to further instill trust between sellers and buyers. “The benefit goes both ways: sellers now have an added stamp of authenticity on their products, and buyers can now easily identify and shop from their favourite brands,” she said.

Nur Azre further commented that TikTok Shop Mall can create an opportunity for brands to better market themselves, and she hopes that it will also create more avenues for entrepreneurs to sell more on TikTok Shop. “Whether it is an online arm for existing brick-and-mortar stores, or a sole revenue stream for SMEs, TikTok Shop will constantly equip and empower these brands on their shoppertainment journey,” she said.

Meanwhile, TikTok Shop itself was rolled out in Malaysia back in mid-2022, and recently began offering a buy-now-pay-later (BNPL) payment option after signing an agreement with Atome.
