Maybank Offers RM8 Reward For First-Time MAE App Users
Author Avatar

Maybank customers who have yet to try the new MAE by Maybank2u (MAE) app can now earn themselves some cash when they do so by 31 January! The MAE RM8 Cash campaign will offer an RM8 reward to those who log in to their accounts on the MAE app for the first time – those who are planning to apply for the MAE debit card from the app can look at it as a way to offset the card’s RM8 annual fee.

To participate in this campaign, you need to be a Maybank or Maybank Islamic savings or current accountholder (sole proprietor); customers with Maybank2u Biz Accounts are not eligible. On top of that, you must also be a first-time user of the MAE app and have not linked your Maybank2u account to the app prior to the campaign period.

If you meet the eligibility criteria, then go ahead and join Maybank’s campaign by downloading the MAE app, and then logging in to your MAE account for the first time before 31 January! For those of you who already have a Maybank2u account, you can log in to your MAE account using your Maybank2u login ID credentials. Otherwise, you will need to sign up and create a new MAE account before logging in.

Once you’re done, you’ll be rewarded with RM8, to be credited into your active MAE account within 21 working days after the end of the campaign period. You’ll receive a notification either through the MAE app or an SMS when the money has been credited. Note as well that this reward is provided on a first-come first-served basis, capped at 230,000 customers for the whole campaign.

Maybank launched the MAE app in October last year, with plans to have it eventually replace the existing Maybank2u app. Since then, the bank has been encouraging its customers to switch over to the new app.

Essentially, the MAE app still offers all your existing Maybank2u functions in addition to various other new functions to offer better financial management. These include features such as Expenses, which helps you to track your spending, and Tabung, which enables you to save more consistently with a goal-oriented savings strategy. The app also has its very own MAE debit card, which is tied to Maybank’s MAE e-wallet residing in the MAE app, giving you an extra payment option at merchant outlets in addition to the QR scan method.

You can find out more about Maybank’s MAE RM8 Cash campaign on its website. Alternatively, you can download the MAE app on Google Play or the App Store.
