UOB Revises Grab Daily Perks For UOB PRVI Miles Card
Author Avatar

UOB has announced a revision to the Grab benefits that are provided by its UOB PRVI Miles credit card. Set to take effect starting from 1 September 2022, the existing GrabFood and Grab Ride daily perks for the card will be updated with new Grab offerings.

Following this update, UOB customers who hold the UOB PRVI Miles card and use it as the default credit card for their GrabPay e-wallet will be eligible to the following updated Grab daily perks:

Grab benefitsDetailsGrab code to useCappingAvailability
Grab Rides50% off Grab Ride transactionsPRVIRIDE– Capped at RM10 off per Grab Ride transaction
– Maximum four redemptions each month per cardholder
1,000 voucher codes offered per month (first-come first-served basis)
KLIA Grab rides50% off KLIA Grab Ride transactions*

*for bookings to and from KLIA or KLIA 2 within Klang Valley only
PRVIKLIA– Capped at RM33 off per KLIA Grab Ride transaction
– Maximum one redemption each month per cardholder
500 voucher codes offered per month (first-come first-served basis)

These new Grab benefits will replace the existing Grab privileges, which currently provide RM5 off on Grab Ride and GrabFood transactions (four redemptions for each service per month). If you’re a heavy Grab user who relies quite a bit on Grab Rides for mobility, this latest revision may actually in your favour if you take full advantage of the higher cap value per transaction – although it comes with the sacrifice of GrabFood vouchers.

Aside from revising its Grab benefits, all other benefits of the UOB PRVI Miles card remains unchanged. You’ll still continue to earn up to 5x UNIRinggit on your overseas and travel spend (covering airlines, hotels, and travel agencies), and 1x UNIRinggit for all other spend. Note that there is a RM5,000 cap on the 5x UNIRinggit that you can earn on your travel spend (1x UNIRinggit for every RM1 spent after that), and no capping for overseas spend.

You’ll also still be able to get a bonus of 2,000 UNIRinggit when you make three retail transactions per month (RM10 minimum spend per transaction), and enjoy protection for your e-commerce purchases, up to US$200 per claim annually. However, the e-commerce purchase protection is currently valid only until 30 September 2022 (with the possibility of being extended).

Finally, the minimum annual income requirement to apply for the UOB PRVI Miles, too, remains the same at RM60,000, and the annual fee continues to be set at RM198 (principal cardholder) and RM30 (supplementary cardholder).
