Setel Is Now On The Boost App, Users Can Earn Both Mesra Points & Boost Coins
Author Avatar

The Petronas-backed contactless petrol payment solution, Setel, is now an official feature on the Boost e-wallet app. According to Boost, users can earn both Mesra points and Boost coins when using Setel on the Boost app, thus allowing users to double dip on rewards.

For those who aren’t aware, Setel allows you to pay for your fuel pumps at Petronas from the inside of your car, removing the need to line up at the counter or swipe your card at the payment terminal. The feature is available at over 700 Petronas stations nationwide. Setel actually has its own app and dedicated e-wallet, but with this latest development, you will also be able to use it through the Boost e-wallet.

You can find Setel in the Boost app’s “Do More” section under “Transport”. Registering for a Setel account is simple, done just by keying in your phone number. Once you drive to a Petronas station near you, you will be able to select your pump number and fuel amount within the app to make your fuel purchase. When the pump is ready, you’re all set to fuel up, but always remember to keep your phone inside the car.

Boost is offering 10% cashback to new Setel users who sign up for an account with Setel on Boost, capped at RM5 with a minimum spend of RM30. You can find out more about Setel on Boost via the e-wallet’s Facebook post here.
