Both Boost and Touch ‘n Go (TNG) eWallet have now officially enabled their respective bill payment features for Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB) last Saturday (13 November 2021). To celebrate the launch of this long-awaited update, the two e-wallets have rolled out their own cashback campaigns to reward and encourage their users to test out the new feature.

Read on to find out more about these campaigns, and how you can earn up to RM75 cashback (if you are lucky).

Boost TNB Deal: Up To RM20 Cashback

Period: 13 November 2021 – 28 February 2022

Boost users who pay a minimum of RM100 in a single TNB bill transaction via the BoostBills feature will be entitled to receive a total of RM10 cashback. However, this incentive will be provided in the form of two separate cashback rewards (Reward 1 and 2, set at RM5 each), based on a specific disbursement and utilisation schedule, as is detailed below:

1 – 28 February 202220,0007 March 20227 – 31 March 20221 April 20221 – 30 April 2022

So for instance, if you paid your TNB bill on 18 November 2021, you can expect to receive your first RM5 cashback on 7 December 2021, which you must then use within the month. The second RM5 cashback, meanwhile, will be credited to you on 1 January 2022 – to be utilised within January as well.

Boost further clarified that the RM10 cashback reward provided via this campaign can only be used to make TNB bill payments. There is no minimum spend required to utilise Reward 1, but you need to spend at least RM100 in order to use Reward 2. Do note as well that each user is only entitled to one redemption of the reward throughout the whole campaign period, and any unutilised cashback will be automatically forfeited if not used during the stipulated period.

On top of this campaign, there is actually a separate New User Mission deal that is provided exclusively for new Boost users, allowing them to obtain an extra RM10 rebate for any bill payments, including TNB bills. Ongoing until 31 December 2021, this campaign requires new users to complete a “mission” by topping up a minimum of RM20 into their Boost e-wallet. If you are a new user tapping into both campaigns above, then your overall savings when paying TNB bills can come up to a total of RM20.

TNG eWallet Deal: Up To RM55 Cashback

Period: 13 November – 31 December 2021

Under this campaign, TNG eWallet users will be able to earn a cashback reward of RM5 when they spend a minimum of RM80 in a single TNB bill payment. Provided on a first-come first-served basis, there is a cap of 30,000 transactions, after which the promotion will cease to run. If you do win it, the RM5 cashback amount will be credited into your account within three working days.

In addition to the RM5 cashback, TNG eWallet also has another concurrent promo that gives its users a chance to win RM50 cashback when they pay a minimum of RM100 via their TNB bills. A total of 18 winners will be selected randomly by TNG Digital to win the prize, with the cut-off time set at 6pm each day. TNG Digital will then reveal the winners on a weekly basis according to the following schedule:
