Grab has officially announced the launch of GrabSupermarket in the Klang Valley, a delivery-only supermarket with next-day delivery at zero fees and no minimum order.

First piloted in selected areas of Petaling Jaya a few weeks ago, GrabSupermarket serves a growing demand of online grocery shoppers who are looking for a convenient and accessible way to restock their weekly groceries. The GrabSupermarket is located in the middle of the high traffic areas in the Klang Valley and currently delivers over 2,500 products consisting of household essentials, health and beauty items, and freshly-sourced produce.

“The next-day delivery model enables us to ensure the produce is delivered from our variety of partnering farms and suppliers directly to us, and from us to the customers, all within 24 hours,” said Sean Goh, Managing Director of Grab Malaysia. “We saw an incredible take up of GrabSupermarket among consumers during the pilot phase, with fresh produce such as fresh vegetables, fruits and poultry making up almost 50% of our orders.”

Goh continued, “Our ambition is to be able to offer the widest selection of groceries at the best prices, maximum freshness and zero delivery fees to every Malaysian household. In addition, we hope that GrabSupermarket will create even more income opportunities for all our drivers,” he said. And of course, GrabRewards customers and the Maybank Grab Mastercard Platinum Credit Cardholders stand to gain savings as all spend on GrabSupermarket garners GrabRewards points.

According to Grab, GrabSupermarket has already served thousands of deliveries since commencing its limited pilot phase. Moving forward, Grab plans to grow GrabSupermarket beyond the Klang Valley and expand to more capital cities across Malaysia. It will also continue investing in building an even better in-app supermarket browsing experience.

GrabSupermarket is an extension of GrabMart, which caters to instant retail needs with delivery from retail stores in under 30 minutes. Grab also has the Pasar feature, which delivers fresh produce from participating local markets in the area. If you are in the Klang Valley, you can find the GrabSupermarket feature on your Grab app today or visit the website to learn more about it.
