GrabUnlimited To End 1 Sen Promo Rate From September 2022, Enable More Payment Methods For Redemptions

Grab has announced some updates to its GrabUnlimited plan, one of which is the end of the 1 sen per month promo price come September 2022. Aside from that, GrabUnlimited subscribers will also be allowed to redeem all promotions and vouchers in the plan using more cashless payments – including credit and debit cards – starting from next month.

At present, existing GrabUnlimited subscribers are able to enjoy the perks of the plan at only 1 sen per month. The promo was made available when GrabUnlimited was first launched at the end of 2021, and was supposed to end in March 2022. However, Grab eventually offered a special extension to the promo price, which lasted until today.

With this latest announcement, it seems that the bargain offer has finally come to an end. When subscribers renew their plans in September 2022 (for their October subscription), they will need to pay RM4.90 for the plan instead. Even with this higher fee, however, GrabUnlimited continues to offer quite a bit of savings, especially the exclusive GrabFood and GrabMart discount vouchers provided each month.

Meanwhile, first-time subscribers will still be charged 1 sen for their first two months of subscription, and subsequent renewal will be at the price of RM4.90/month.

Aside from announcing the end of the promo price, Grab also revealed that all promotions and vouchers in GrabUnlimited can be redeemed with additional cashless payment methods starting from September. In addition to GrabPay and PayLater by Grab (currently the only payment methods that are accepted for the redemption of GrabUnlimited promotions and vouchers), users can now also use debit and credit card alongside GrabUnlimited vouchers. The expansion of these payment methods will certainly make the rewards redemption process more convenient for GrabUnlimited subscribers.

These updates come at the heels of a recent upgrade to GrabUnlimited in July 2022, which saw the plan expanding beyond just monthly promotions and vouchers for GrabFood, GrabMart, and Grab Ride. It has now also integrated GrabRewards as part of its benefits, and also offers a boosted rate of return at 1.5% as well as better redemption rates when you redeem rewards.
