Grab Committed To Serving Budget-Conscious Consumers With Expanded SavewithGrab Campaign

Grab has reiterated its commitment to support its budget-conscious consumers with an expanded #SavewithGrab campaign. This comes as Malaysians continue to seek for practical, accessible, and affordable day-to-day services amid the current economic landscape, with a forecasted inflation of between 2.1% to 3.6% in 2024.

In a statement, the head of marketing at Grab Malaysia, Hassana Alsagoff said that it is Grab’s intention to cater to the needs of all Malaysians, making its platform more accessible to a wider segment of consumers. “New updates such as GrabUnlimited Long Term Plans and Stamp Cards doesn’t just help us stay relevant in the minds of budget-conscious consumers, but also opens up more savings opportunities for all our consumers while potentially boosting earnings for driver-, delivery-, and merchant-partners too,” Alsagoff said.

For context, Grab has introduced several options that allow Grab users to tap into its services at a cheaper price, as well as enjoy better value. Some examples include the GrabUnlimited plans with longer subscription periods and cheaper fees, as well as the Stamp Cards loyalty programme for users to earn stamps when they order meals from participating merchants.

Another notable feature that was also rolled out quite recently is the GrabCar Saver feature, where you can save up to 20% off the usual fare if you’re willing to wait a longer time for your rides. Additionally, Grab is bringing back the Kombo Jimat and Pakej RAHMAH deals under GrabFood, complementing its existing HotDeals and HungryDeals promos.

Moreover, Grab is expanding the #SavewithGrab initiative with its digital bank counterpart, GXBank as well. Aside from being able to earn a daily interest of 3% p.a. via the GX account, customers can also enjoy rewards and savings through the upcoming GXBank debit card, including an unlimited 1% cashback on online and offline transactions. The GXBank debit card is expected to be introduced this month.

“Ultimately, our end goal remains the same – to be the most accessible on-demand platform for everyday services for every Malaysian. And ensuring we have affordable options and additional opportunities to save is just one of the needs we feel is vital to support Malaysians with. As we continue to serve everyday Malaysians, we also look forward to serving even more of their needs, be it if they require solutions that are budget friendly, quick and fast, or customised,” Alsagoff emphasised.
